Family Vacation

Okay so it's been a while since I have blogged anything. I've been so wrapped up in other things that I have totally forgotten about blogging. In June our family was able to travel to Arizona to visit family and friends. While there we attended a wedding reception, a baptism (our niece mallory), a missionary fairwell (our nephew Brandon), visited some favorite eating spots, hung out in the pool, and had numerous wonderful visits with old friends. And of course, there was shopping. This vacation was the first time in 15 years the Price family has been all together. We took advantage of that and had an enjoyable 3 hour photgraphy session full of great entertainment. We had a great time trying to make each other smile and laughing at the kids being funny. Although there was a little stress involved with trying to get 31 people to look, smile and be happy all at once, we all made it out alive. We spent lots of time together eating at Kirk and Holly's and many of times in the park. Our experience with being able to attend Brandon's fairwell and his setting apart was spiritual, sad and yet exciting all in one. I never realized how hard it would be to be in attendance while he was being set apart. It was an emotional, happy moment. But in that moment one comes to the realization that in only 5-6 years we will be sending off more missionaries, one being mine. That made the situation even more difficult. It's hard to think about the moments to come when your not ready for the moments past to be done. Everyday I look at my kids and realize how little time I actually have left with them in our home. Makes me cry!
I want my family to know that the time spent with them was a very fun and special time. Hope we can do it again.

This Easter was a fun one. Jake decided to wake up at 6:30 so we could all go down and check out their baskets. Then we all went upstairs and got ready to go to church. After Stake Conference, we all went out to Grandpa and Grandma Price's for Easter dinner and an egg hunt. The kids had so much fun with their cousins! Grandma Baird even came down to spend the holiday with us, and that's always exciting. They had fun playing with their cousins, as always.

The kids posing after the Easter egg hunt.
All the grandkids with Grandma Baird. They're goofy! (Notice Zane's chocolate smile)Here's Mike sneaking some "samples" before dinner. Caught in the act! :)

Pack Meeting

Last night was Ethan's first pack meeting since joining scouts. We started the night off with "mom I need you to go to Billings and buy my badges or else I can't earn any others" I then let him know that he can't bowl me over, I'm not dumb, and I've been through this before. He is talking about the Central Wyoming patch and his troop numbers that go on the shoulder. He really thought that he was not going to get any badges without them. I also let him know that I can't just run to Billings and get them like it was only going to take me 10 min. to do so. It was almost 6:00 and he was having a fit about needing to be there at 6:10. So we load up and go to the Church Gym and no one is in sight! Go figure! We then had an indepth discussion of what a prepared scout should be. They should listen, be prepared and always help out. After guilting my other children into going we left again at 6:30. Low and behold there were two other cars in front of the the gym. We went in and were the only ones there. It was suppose to start at 6:30 but no one else payed attention to the time either. After being there for an hour and playing some fun games Breya, Jacob, and Kendra were glad they went. I was surprised and happy that they joined in on the fun.

Life! Boring!

Okay, so my life seems to be really boring. I never have anything to blog about. We've been going every direction since Christmas break and yet I have found nothing to take pictures of or talk about. I've been so lazy that my Christmas decorations are still up. I told the kids that tomorrow will be the day but then again I've been saying that since New Years! I just dread the pulling boxes out of the basement making a mess and then hauling them back. Between basketball games, dance, scouts, practicing driving with Breya and mutual we keep very busy. Mike and I really enjoyed the time that we had with the kids while they were home on break, I'm finding myself really bored without them here. It's time to get back into crafting, I guess, UGH!

Happy New Year!

I hope this brings you all a Happy New Year! This past year I've been a little slow on getting my posts in on time, however I've made it a goal to keep up on it this year. Yes, I'm already starting off badly, but practice makes perfect.

The year of 2008 gave our family many great memories. We were surprised by our great friends from Arizona, we attended many kids activities, we've had many of laughs and we've enjoyed learning more about the Book of Mormon. We've also been faced with lots of challenges that have made us stronger and we are grateful for those challenges. I've learned in my life that as trials are given to you there is a lesson to be learned. I understand that through that trial it is difficult to understand that somehow it will help you. It does! It helps you lean more on the Savior, the scriptures and prayer. We all need a little reminder of how strong our faith actually is. I hope that this year we as a family will continue to study the scriptures and have family prayer. We have become a more loving family to each other by doing so. I'm grateful for the past and look forward to the wonderful future. The Price's
